Cadastral Maps


Cadastral maps show the boundaries land segments usually to show property lines.  They include ownership, tenure, precise location, dimensions and values of parcels of land.  They are used all around the world, many being used as a title register.  Often, a cadastral maps are used by legal systems as a means of defining the dimensions and location of land parcels described in legal documentation.

In this Cadastral Map, the Bureau of Land Management is shown maintaining records of all public lands.
This particular map illustrates a small portion of a subdivision. The land is shown on this map as divided segments of property.
